Mission Statement:

Detail Description:

Covenant Gathering is an annual, week-long intergenerational conference. Currently held at Michindoh Conference Center, it is an outgrowth of the former Synod Schools(see history. Courses are offered in a variety of areas of Christian life and growth, such as Revelation, Hands-On Spirituality,Christianity and the First Amendment, Moving Medatitive Prayer, and Genertion Theory and The Church. Age-graded classes for children and youth, worship, recreation, fellowship, and enjoyment of God's Creation round out the program. Many years a required class for Educator and Commissioned Lay Pastor Certification is part of the schedule s well.

Our History:

When the Synod of the Covenant discontinued sponsorship of Synod Schools after 2005,many participants believed that the annual event was of benefit to themselves, their congregations, and the wider church, and elected to do whatever they could to continue offering what had come to be called "Synod School/Covenant Gathering" in its recent years. In 2005, a small restructured Covenant Gathering was held at Camp Westminster on Higgins Lake in Michigan. In 2006 we moved to Michindoh Conference Center in Hillsdale, MI, and were "discovered" by former Synod School attendees in Synod of Lincoln Trails, whose School had also been discontinued. Many of them have brought their gifts, and we continue to blend two different traditions into one new one.
